Frequently asked questions

How are researchers paid?
When a project accepts a report, rewards are coordinated through Bastion's payout workflow. Amounts follow the bounty program's severity ranges and acceptance criteria. On-chain escrow on Arbitrum is available when configured; other ecosystems use the same coordination workflow with contract-specific details shown as N/A until deployed.
How does escrow protection work?
Escrow-backed bounties reserve funds for valid disclosures, creating alignment between projects and researchers. Arbitrum supports on-chain escrow when contract addresses are configured in your environment. See the Escrow page for how protection fits into the report lifecycle.
Do researchers keep 100% of rewards?
Yes. Researchers receive the full advertised reward when a report is accepted. Platform fees on escrow-backed payouts are paid by projects on top of the reward (reward + fee = total deposit). Starter plans use the standard platform fee (5%); Pro and Enterprise include a reduced platform fee (2.5%).
Can projects run private bounty programs?
Yes. Private programs are available on Project Pro and Enterprise plans. Researchers need Researcher Pro to access invite-only and early-access listings.
Which ecosystems are supported?
Live ecosystems: Arbitrum and Robinhood Chain. Optimism and ApeChain are coming soon. Project and bounty coverage follows the ecosystem you assign at onboarding.
